Sunshine Coast Fashion Festival 2011 {Behind the scenes}

This is my 2nd year to take part of the SCFF representing Kylie's Professional as a makeup artist. Being apart of a Kylie's team is always a privilage and so much fun.

Kylie's mineral makeup is so good for your skin, so easy to apply and so flawless.

The colour inspiration for the night were based on the current summer trend {fruity} with lots of peach, corals and dark contouring. Note: Kylie also has the best makeup brushes on the market, so soft on your skin and airbrushed application.

I seriously can't get enough of the excitement involved in a fashion show, and there is nothing else like it. Can't wait for next year now.

My first model was beautiful Satika (see photo's above). I also did makeup for stunning Asha, I remember her from last year and it was great to see again.

After I completed my makeup looks I made my way backstage with my lipstick and gloss to do touch up's on the models before they hit the runway.

My first glimpse of all the models in their designer wear was a huge highlight. The designers are so talented and it was amazing to see all there work unfold.

As the show started I watched all the action from the little opening of a curtain that I could see. I started to take a few snaps here and there to capture the true essence of what my night entailed.

I can't wait for next year 2012.

Some of my favourite designers on the night were : Eva Lilly Couture, Elizabeth De Varga, La'Or, Vinco Amor and Begitta.

Carney {High School Formal}

A little bit about Carney

Carney is a young girl who has a creative edge and like me she loves photography. She is in high school and has a very bright future ahead of her. Most of all she has an amazingly loving family, Deena (mother) father and her younger sister and grandmother who is very engaging ....

Today, I visited Carney to create her formal makeup look... Carney was looking for a dark smokey eye...and I think we achieved that goal! I took a few snaps after woods and I hope Carney will look back one day and remember her youth and smile.....

Thanks again for this privilege Carney. xo

Artfully inspired storage {Jewelry Display Frames}

Feeling little bit inspired from my finds today and ready for another fun idea to take shape. Simple and yet very effective.

My Mission is: to pick up some vintage frames in varying sizes and remove the backing from the frame, hang it on your wall, and drape your necklaces from the frames using pushpins. Try it! Stay tunned for my finished product. Plus, good excuse to go on a hunt for some new sparkles and showcase them off...

Bangalow to Byron Bay

 Some of my favourite shops to visit here are: brauerbirds, millar & more, little peach, bangalow lounge and island luxe. Then time for lunch visit the Bangalow Hotel for a drink and pub style food. Yum!

Bangalow is such a pretty place. A little vibrant village full of rolling hills, history and art. Situated just 40min from Coolangatta and 15min drive to Byron Bay. The shopping is my kind of shopping, lots of vintage treasures to be found.

Some of my favourite shops to visit here are: brauerbirds, millar & more, little peach, bangalow lounge and island luxe. Then time for lunch visit the Bangalow Hotel for a drink and pub style food. Yum!
On my way home I stopped at Cape Byron & Byron Valley. The view says it all. I slowly made my way to the lighthouse and took a few snaps and take a breath! great way to exercise those legs.

A beautiful Day

After my photoshoot today at Sanctuary Cove, I was keen to take a trip to the south east coast. I found my way to Fingal Head Lighthouse by accident.

Isn't this the cutest little light house you have ever seen!

I made my way to 'Dreamtime Beach' and my gosh what an amazing beach and view.

The ocean was crystal clear and so blue. The dolphins were swimming here.
I meet Steve a professional photographer today, I call him the Dolphin 'Wispher'. I adored he's love and passion for nature.

I Captured a lone 'long boarder' in the sun.

Me, Steve and a lady called Sue a 'New Yorker' stayed most of the afternoon watching for the dolphins and whales to return. Time seemed to just stand still while we chatted and embraced our luck today.

My first attempt to make a 'dobos torte' a hungarian favourite

"dobos torte"

Ok, so I have a sweet tooth. Especially when it comes to chocolate.

Today was the day to begin my first attempt to make a hungarian favourite of mine. Boy oh boy! was it a lot of work, but the end result speaks for itself.

Oh yeah, my cat was the Head Chef for the day,(see photo) so he  was keeping a good eye that I was following the instructions to a tea.

So now only those who are brave enough to attempt to create their own 'dobos torte' please follow this link:
